Picoway Laser has arrived!
PICOWAY Laser tattoo removal is the most advanced technology available today and the results are incredible! With introducing our other dermal modalities complimenting your laser removal journey, we will increase healing response, better lymphatic drainage and reduce raised scarring from heavy-handed tattoo artists.
How long does PicoWay tattoo removal treatment take?
The procedure takes 5-30 minutes, so you will be in and out during your lunch break and then return straight to work!
Depending on the pigment, you’ll need between 3 to 10 Pico Laser treatments. Varying individual factors will determine the exact number–and not the laser treatment itself. We will review your situation with you after the first treatment and advise further.
The Pico Laser targets all tattoo shades for all skin types. Our salon offers treatment for dark/light blue, brown, purple, red and green pigments. Yellow and white inks may behave less favourably. However, subsequent treatments provide improvement and resolution.
Our technicians are highly experienced with laser tattoo removal and have developed techniques that allow sped up treatment by combining multiple treatments in one visit.
Does the PicoWay treatment hurt ?
Discomfort varies with each person depending on both the nature and the location of the tattoo on the body.
The Pico Laser device emits light in momentary flashes of light called pulses. The impact of the energy from the powerful pulse of light is like the snap of a thin rubber band with some associated heat. There is a far lower level of discomfort when compared to older tattoo removal technology. The large majority of patients do not require numbing and the post pain is very low to none. A smaller tattoo would only take a few seconds of laser, while a larger tattoo on a more sensitive part of the body might be create more discomfort.
We will provide you with a squeeze ball, use cold compressed air, and give you breaks as required.
Every session, you’ll receive a complimentary LED light therapy to assist in skin recovery. Numbing is available on request if you feel you have a very low threshold.
Are PicoWay treatments safe and are there any side effects ?
PicoWay selectively treats the tattoo while leaving the surrounding skin undamaged. PicoWay generates no heat in the skin, unlike other lasers on the market, which result in blistering, unnecessary discomfort or potential scarring. This equates to a safer treatment with fewer side effects.
After treatments, patients may experience temporary discolouration or the reddening of the skin around the treatment site. Some patients may experience a temporary lightening of the skin following treatment but will resolve to a normal skin tone once healed. Ink darkening, skin sensitivity and skin pigment changes, are all potential side effects, but very rare. However, side effects are temporary or easily resolvable. Symptoms are well-tolerated and only affect the treatment area itself. Our technicians will provide you with a treatment plan for avoiding any potential risks and for obtaining optimal results.
How much do treatments cost?
The treatment cost depends on the area and condition being treated.
We offer packages of three, six, 10 and unlimited sessions. The first session is free for any package deal.
LED light therapy priced at $39 will be complimentary for each laser session.

How do I prepare for the procedure?
Keep out of the sun prior to your treatment and refrain from both sun and fake tanning between treatments. Ensure all wounds are healed prior to beginning your treatment and keep your skin free from make-up, dirt, chemicals and metallic dust. We will advise full instructions when booking in.
How many PicoWay treatments will be needed?
The effectiveness of the treatment, as well as how long it takes, will depend on many factors. These include: the age, location, depth, size, healing response and type of tattoo, the amount and type of ink used, as well as the depth of the ink in the skin.
All tattoos will require several treatments for optimal results. Each session takes around 15 minutes – 45 minutes. You can expect removal to take 3-5 treatments for tattoo fading and 10-12 treatments for complete removal. Maintaining a healthy lifestyle will help to speed up the removal process. Pico Laser sessions are spaced over 4-8 weeks.
